• Work has been carried on in the entrance zone of the tunnels (cut and cover sections) providing noise and pollution abetment to the surrounding homes inside the city of Lecco, as well as lighting to the tunnel traffic.

The cover system consisted of a transparent sound proof material with good sound abetment on low frequencies.

Electric lighting fixtures have been positioned on the r.c. side walls (4,6 m high thickness varying from .14 to .26m) Further fiber sound absorbing layers have been positioned on top of the side walls.

Work has been carried on exactly according to schedule even in the presence of 20 odd other contractors working together in the same areas.
