Lagrange '15'- Shopping Center - Turin

  The building dates back to 1969 and has a mixed r.c. and steel main structure fireproofed with 4 to 6 cm. Of a asbestos type floc product

Design engineer and site management have solved the unusual problem to clean up , in absolute safety,portions of a shopping center building while keeping it closed only in the work areas and for the shortest time possible ( only retail businesses had to be shut down for safety reasons). A situation Covecom has encountered many times in the past.

Floor by floor working areas with total confinement have been set up with respect for safety at the surrounding areas.

Constant briefing of the Environmental Authorities and feed back from them was taken care by our site management team, with special care in updating the clean up approved documents on the basis of new requirements from the agency.

Preparatory work has been the key issue in this job, being surrounded by functioning businesses and public areas during works.

Special care has been taken in shutting down all installations including datafiber optics wiring without damage for future reuse. This was done lacking any kind of drawing of the existing installations.

Site temporary installations were also provided with hot water and electricity on all floors.
